  • ‘Automation of Control Processes’ is the Journal of Science and Engineering specification where papers of interest for the up-to-date automated process control system development are published.
  • Only papers never published or never submitted for publication in other periodicals are placed in the Journal.
  • Articles of all authors are free of charge. List of authors
  • An article submitted for publication shall comply with the Journal’s subject area.
  • The authors of manuscripts have the sole responsibility for the accuracy (authenticity) of submitted information as well as for the matter of articles, mentioned facts, extracts, statistical data, formulae, author credentials, and references.

Article Submission Rules

  • Articles (of 8 to 14 pages) are published in the Journal. The articles shall contain original scientific results of a study never published.
  • Papers are submitted as a hard copy with the author’s signature (1 copy), or as a soft copy on CD, or sent by E-mail to This email address is being protected from spambots. Place an article through the automated system

  • The basis for publication is a package of documents submitted in a hard or in a soft-copy form. Postal Address: 20, Solnechnaya Str., Ulyanovsk, 432022 Russia, Editorial Office of Automation of Control Processes Journal.
  • The following shall be enclosed with the articles: an accompanying letter addressed to the Editor-in-Chief and expert summary about possibility to release these material publicly, and the signed license agreement.

Article Completion Rules

  • The article shall contain:
    • A title and an abstract (containing not less than 120 words and not more than 250 words).
    • Key words (not less than three in number).
    • Information about authors in the following form:

  • Authors shall indicate their places of work, positions, academic credentials and ranks, scientific publications (if present), scientific interests, and the contact information (e-mail). In addition, it is necessary to specify a contact phone and a postal address of each author.
  • An article shall begin with the introduction where tasks under solution shall be formulated, the actuality is rationalized, and the well-known approaches to solve tasks, including foreign sources, shall be briefly examined. The main body shall not repeat ideas, be too bulky in proofs, have redundant details and other information referred to in the references. There shall be a conclusion in the end that contains a summary, and recommendations on how to apply findings.
  • Text Information Requirements: The text is entered with ‘MS Word for Windows’ processor. Page size is A4. The article shall not exceed 10 pages. The font is Times New Roman, 12 points, single line spacing. The margins are not less than 2 cm from each side. The offset of the paragraph’s first string is 1 cm. It is not allowed to set the paragraph offset by tabbing or by spacing. All abbreviations, abridgements and conventional values shall have explanation in the text. All literal and digital designations in figures are explained in the text or in the legend to the figure. Formulas must be entered with Microsoft Equation Editor (included into the Microsoft Office package), or with MathType. Formulas are left-aligned; their numbers in round brackets are right aligned. Figure numbers are put after the figure (Fig. 3), table numbers are put before the table (Table 2), and both shall have titles and legends. A printed copy shall be paged with pencil on the top margin. A soft CD copy is not paged. References are indicated in square brackets. The bibliography is given at the end of the article and shall be titled as ‘REFERENCES’.
  • Picture Requirements: All vector-like pictures, i.e. created with processors like CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office Visio, and having the extensions such as .cdr, .ai, .vsd, .wmf, are allowed to be put into the text file or attached as separate files. Raster pictures, i.e. having the .bmp, .pcx, .jpg, and .tiff formats, etc., shall be obligatory attached as separate files. At that, the resolution of such pictures shall be not less than 300 dpi. Pictures in Microsoft Word ARE NOT ALLOWED! Pictures created in AutoCAD or similar engineering programs ARE NOT ALLOWED!

Manuscript Review Order

  • Articles submitted for publication in ‘Automation of Control Processes’ Journal are subject to obligatory reviewing. The editor-in-chief approved a list of reviewers comprising of the leading Russian and foreign scientists whose opinion about a possibility for the article publication is determining.
  • A manuscript of the research paper submitted to editors of the ‘Automation of Control Processes’ Journal is registered, then reviewed by the executive editor for the compliance with the Journal’s specification. After that, the executive editor monitors the compliance of the submitted papers with the requirements of the article compliance rules. Editors do not examine articles not qualifying the specified requirements; such articles are given back to the authors.
  • Editors send the article to three reviewers for reviewing. The interaction between authors and reviewers is performed via the editorial staff.
  • The editorial staff informs reviewers that the sent manuscripts are the authors’ intellectual property. The reviewers may not copy the articles for their needs. Personal information about reviewers is confidential. The breach of confidentiality is possible only in case the reviewer admits it and on the author’s demand.
  • Editors may provide manuscript reviews to expert councils of the State Commission of Academic Degrees and Titles of the Russian Federation, as appropriate.
  • If the article review has an indication of corrections, the article is sent back to the author for improvement. In that case, the date of the article submission is the date of the improved article subsequent submission.
  • If the article has been rebuilt significantly by the author, it is sent for the subsequent reviewing.
  • If there are two negative manuscript reviews, the article is not admitted and not considered further.
  • In case the author disagrees with the reviewer’s opinion, the author has the right to argue before the Journal’s editors. The article may be sent for the subsequent reviewing.
  • The article is admitted by the Journal on the decision of a dedicated expert group comprising of members of the editorial staff. The executive editor intimates the author about the decision taken on the article. An abstract of record indicating the article publication refusal reason is sent to the author.
  • The max review period is 1 month between the date of the manuscript submission to editors and the decision adopted by the editorial staff.
