Automated Calculation of Ergonomic Parameters of the Information Display Means At the Workplace of the Air Traffic Controller 000_10.pdf

One of the most important elements of a workplace of an air traffic controller of air traffic services are means of displaying information ensuring the functioning of the man-machine mode in accordance with the system standards of ergonomic requirements and ergonomic assurance. The analysis and comparison of parameters of information displays for the workplace of the air traffic controller was held in the article from the point of view of manufacturability, ergonomics and safety. The thin-film electroluminescent displays are preferred to use taking into account the implementation of regulatory requirements. In the framework of the ergonomic design, the software for calculation of brightness parameters of indicators and the distance location of the screen relative to the operator: minimum and maximum values of optimum and maximum permissible distances of observation was developed. The software module was written in Object Pascal in the Delphi 7 environment. The presented software product provides automation of calculations of the ergonomic characteristics necessary in design of the working environment and workstation of an air traffic controller, and can also be used for other workstations.
