The Statistical Properties and Features of Formation of Soft Decisions for Redundant Codes Nonbinary Characters 000_5.pdf

The article considers the ways of formation of soft decision symbols (sDs) used in the systems with binary modulation. Through the tests of the original statistical models, the properties of these solutions are described, the possibility of their application to problems of adaptive signal processing is shown. Taking into account the cascade scheme of codec construction, the paper considers the novel problem of estimating the reliability of non-binary symbols based on a comprehensive assessment of decoding results of internal code combinations and statistical parameters of sDs obtained for these combinations from continuous channel.

Methods for Improving the Efficiency of Decameter Range Aviation Digital Radio 000_7.pdf

In aviation telecommunication, decameter range is widely used for solving different tasks associated with the objective functions of aircrafts during their interaction among themselves and with ground means. Considering the features of the specified wavelength range due to the wide development of digital data exchange methods, the challenge of achieving their credibility is arised. The solution can be found only in the way of conjunctive use of data protection tools.In the paper, the author describes the application of hierarchical modulation for transmission of error correcting code combinations processed with clustering on the receiver. It allows implementing the list decoding of received code vector with the use of the only one list, and, consequently, it simplifies the decoder. The method is effective only with correct recovery of cluster number. The cluster number bits are transmitted in hierarchical modulation with the use of the point of signal constellation remoted from each other in the most greatly manner. Also, the author estimates probabilistic system characteristics.

Techniques of Diversed Reception in Systems of Mobile Communication and Broadband Access 21_13.pdf

The article deals with techniques of diversed reception, which are widely used in mobile networks of digital radiocommunication and systems of broadband access, and evaluates noise-immunity when single and diversed (double) reception. It also considers an orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) as one of techniques of diversed reception in networks of broadband access on basis of the standards IEEE 802.11a, IEEE 802.11n.
