Avionics Software Design 51_6.pdf

The article describes avionics software life cycle processes. Software design and encoding processes are examined. An approach to design and encoding is described, which allows to improve the software functionality without fundamental changes of software architecture causing often raise a lot of errors resulting in a lengthy process of software retesting and debugging when new requirements emerge. It is shown that the application of the approach proposed reduces labor costs related to the processes of developing the software requirements, designing and creating source code as well as traceability. Based on the findings, conclusions about advantages of the application of the proposed approach within the framework of developing software for airborne equipment and systems are drawn up.

Method of Eliminating of the Phenomenon of Information Degradation on the Dashboard Indicators 000_14.pdf

The article analyzes the flight data in case of degradation phenomenon of information perceived by the crew and displayed on the dashboard multifunction indicator screens (the phenomenon RPD) of the aircraft. The paper shows the experiment results, which demonstrate clearly how the longitudinal and transverse vibrations affect the perception of the information in on display screen of the multifunctional indicator (hereinafter reffered to as the indicator). The author proposes a hardware-software method of eliminating the RPD phenomenon possibility. The article also demonstrates how the hardware improvement and the appropriate software development make it possible to correct the crew perception of the information displayed on the dashboard indicator screens of the type “a glass cabin” under the influence of vibration leading to the emergence of the RPD phenomenon. Moreover, the author makes the conclusions about the possibility and benefits of using a hardware-software method of eliminating the possibility of the RPD phenomenon.
