Suggestions for kill performance forecasting of various objects afloat at the shortest time62_1.pdf

The paper suggests ways to enhance the operational and tactical calculation complexes forming a part of the decision- making support system for naval strength employment. These ways comprise automatic forecasting of kill performance of objects afloat at the shortest time. It gives analytical calculations determining space and time parameters for planning of destroying enemy’s surface combat formations afloat by maneuvering combat formations of surface action groups. The combat formations are supposed to use these parameters to approach to enemy’s forces maneuvering beyond their reach in order to provide an effective engagement range. The paper describes an algorithm of possible optimal allocation of combat formations per objects to be destroyed. It also suggests an algorithm of automatic generation of proposals to the object-destroying schedule including required ammunition calculations employed to destroy an object in order to comply with required level of decision-making effectiveness. The authors give the results of space and time parameters calculations using the module for computer-aided construction of the shortest deployment route.

Data mining in document automation system59_8.pdf

The paper reviews the document automation systems and determines the perspectives of intellectual tools usage. It considers the document automation system developed by FRPC JSC ‘RPA ‘Mars’ and implemented in its products. The system functionality is offered to be improved by adding the data mining subsystem. The subsystem intends to accumulate data while in service and to analyze them. The paper specifies the data set, defining the process of document developing, i.e. planned and actual time of developing, amount and quality of finished documents. Data mining implies a determination of correlation and regression dependencies between attributes. Based on the results of data mining, management officials are able to arrange the process of document developing effectively. The authors give an example of regression dependencies between the time taken to develop a document of one type and its size. Random values of performances are given while simulation modeling.
