Effectiveness of Complex Application of Increasing Data Processing Validity Methods 39_1.pdf

An analysis for destructive factors effecting on data processing validity under conditions of complex electromagnetic environment is carried out. It is noted that an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) makes the most hazard effect on computer appliances (CA) functioning. The electromagnetic pulse leads to computer appliances functioning temporary problems, namely to errors or a computer appliance elements physical destruction that is a failure. The fulfillment of requirements for data processing validity under electromagnetic effect is not provided without implementation of increasing validity methods in CA.The article is dedicated to data processing validity researches in case of computer appliances functioning problems caused by an effect of electromagnetic pulse. The methods for the increasing of data processing validity based on information, structure, and temporary redundancy are considered. A procedure for CA data processing validity specification is provided for each of these methods. The paper captures each of these methods benefits and notes that using these methods separately does not provide fulfillment of the requirements to all validity classes that are defined by international standards. To obtain the best possible result, it is necessary to use the combination of all these methods.
