Multidimensional Code Structures With Application of the Bhattacharya Distance 000_4.pdf

The article discusses the application of the Bhattacharya distance in the multidimensional code structures in order to manage excessive component. The proposed approach is a compromise between the high bandwidth requirements and level of error probability on a bit. Multidimensional coded structures effectively solve the problem of error correction (natural and anthropogenic) that arises in the communication channel. However, the increase in code distance by creating multidimensionality leads to a significant reduction in code rate as a result of reducing information bandwidth. In this case, the Bhattacharya distance is a flexible and efficient tool for the task. Usability of the Bhattacharya distance in the scheme of polar codes makes the mechanism convenient for the designer of communication systems, and high corrective abilities of polar codes allow using them as inner codes to build cascade coding and 3D codes. The Bhattacharya dstance is actively used to determine similarities between two or more sets. In the coding theory, this tool is widely used in question of flowing code combinations in the Euclidean space and creation of the generating matrix control mechanism for the purpose of forming the continuous set of code combinations. Such combinations form a set of information symbols that vary in except the lack of transmission and non-excess transmission.

Efficient Permutation Decoding of Binary Block Redundant Codes 000_10.pdf

The article describes a method of decoding of binary block redundant codes with the use of ordered statistics, which is implemented in the framework of permutation decoding (PD). Such algorithms are most effectively used in control systems in order to protect data against errors when sending them along the channels subjected to the influence of destructive factors. On the one hand, the advantage of permutation decoding is the possibility of processing of code vectors of the computed equivalent code outside the Hamming metric, which provides a significant energy code gain (ECG). On the other hand, the process of identifying the properties of rearranged matrix linearity of the equivalent code and bringing this matrix to the systematic form in case of confirmation of the properties of linearity, is a difficult task in the attitude of computation. The complexity of the computational process becomes exponential with increasing length of code vectors. In this context, the authors propose a new method for fast matrix transformations to allow normalizing the computational process of finding the matrix of the equivalent block code of virtually any length to polynomial complexity. The authors also introduce the concept of a decoder cognitive map. The probabilistic characteristics of the proposed decoders obtained by analytical modelling of communication channels with various streams of errors are given.

The Statistical Properties and Features of Formation of Soft Decisions for Redundant Codes Nonbinary Characters 000_5.pdf

The article considers the ways of formation of soft decision symbols (sDs) used in the systems with binary modulation. Through the tests of the original statistical models, the properties of these solutions are described, the possibility of their application to problems of adaptive signal processing is shown. Taking into account the cascade scheme of codec construction, the paper considers the novel problem of estimating the reliability of non-binary symbols based on a comprehensive assessment of decoding results of internal code combinations and statistical parameters of sDs obtained for these combinations from continuous channel.

Unification of Redundant Code Decoding Algorithms in Integrated Information-management Systems 39_2.pdf

The increasing requirements for control of integrated information-management system elements are caused by the need of application of communication protocols that are heterogeneous in terms of organization and control cycle duration. Thereupon, it is reasonable to use a set of error-controlled codes differing in redundancy, and processed on a common hardware platform, in similar systems to prevent errors in real-time information. To implement this concept it is expedient to use short block codes. They are applicable in the process of small data transmitting and they can be easily transformed to protect a large bulk of data using the cascaded coding technology or on the basis of product codes in 3D or in higher dimensions. The code sequences shortening at specified requirements in terms of data adequacy leads to a need of the flexible synthesis of information on signals received from a continuous communications channel and of soft iterative algorithms of the selected redundant codes processing. Polar code constructions meet this requirement. The paper offers to use the proper code combinations space clustering in order to reduce the polar code combinations processing time interval. The text gives valuable information on a clustering mechanism and cluster number security variants when transmitting over a noisy channel. The authors present the results of polar code decoding simulation models testing using different algorithms that demonstrate the benefits of the proposed data processing method under conditions of low signal-to-noise ratios compared to canonical schemes required for redundant code decoding.
