An Architectural Approach to the Precedent-oriented Problem Solving in the Designing of Automated Systems 55_6.pdf

The article presents an approach to architectural modeling focused on its use for the development of functional components of an automated system (AS), each of which is associated with the solution of a specific design task. To ensure the independence of the application of the approach from the domain of the AS, its implementation is associated with the creation of the subsystem TASK, which expands the potential of the instrumentally modeling environment OwnWIQA, which serves to solve design tasks in the workplace of a member of the design team. The specificity of the toolkit includes the formation for the solved task its reusable model (model of precedent), which is included in the Experience Base used in the design process of a certain AS or their family. The subsystem TASK was developed in the OwnWIQA as its application using the executable pseudo code language embedded into this toolkit. The constructed version of the subsystem TASK is interpreted by the authors as a prototype, the reprogramming of which will be conducted in C #.

Method for Conceptual Indexing of Project Diagrams in Electronic Archives 54_6.pdf

The Complex of Ontological Support for Processes of Solving New Design Tasks in Development of Systems With Software 000_11.pdf

The article presents a method of ontological support increasing efficiency of project thinking, when in the development of a software intensive system, the designer discovers the need to solve a new design task. Support is provided in the conditions of application of the version of the project thinking, in the processes of which the means of question-answer and case-oriented approaches are included, which ensure the constructive formation of the project task tree. The components of the tree register not only the texts of task statements but also the question-answer reasoning of the processes of solving each task. The proposed method of ontological support is aimed at the search for design errors, their correction and prevention, as well as on the extraction of useful questions and support of understanding processes in the design process in real time. In addition, it allows you to identify in the texts the cause-effect relationship and the «part-whole» relationship. The basis of the proposed method is the use of question-answer and precedent-oriented approaches to work with the project task, the formulation of which is built in the process of its conceptual solution.

The Application of Design Ontologies in Technological Preparation of Aircraft Production 000_7.pdf

Currently, the use of ontologies in the aviation industry has not yet been properly developed but the analysis of domestic and foreign authors’ works shows the positive dynamics of the intelligent support systems implementation in this area. The article is devoted to the creation of tools for ontological support of works at the stage of technological preparation of aircraft production on the basis of the authoritative approach allowing to carry out experiments with semantic models of diversified production tools at the stage of technical specification and to make decisions on the appearance of the support system artifacts constructive on the basis of the obtained results. Due to the fact that the design process is carried out with the use of a vocabulary and controlled semantics, the proposed means will allow to ensure effective interaction dialogue "designer -system" (in this case, the design is carried out using professional natural language) and also to accumulate, process, and store design and construction knowledge in the form of experienced units.

Conceptual Algorithmic Programming and Modeling in the Design and Manufacture of Aircrafts Piping Systems 000_12.pdf

One of the important criteria of a competitiveness of an aviation industry is the cycle time of a production preparation and manufacturing. This criterion is integrally evaluated under conditions of a multiproduct manufacturing when parts and assemblies of various functional purposes may have complex shapes and high demands on quality. A significant contribution to the integral evaluation makes the preparation of production and manufacturing the pipeline systems of the aircraft. The article analyzes the life cycle of the aircraft piping systems at the stage of the technological preparation of production and manufacturing, revealed its shortcomings and features. Among the shortcomings, the authors highlight the long duration and high cost of correcting the errors committed engineering services at the stage of the technological preparation of production (TPP). In order to eliminate these shortcomings, the authors suggest the use of conceptual and algorithmic programming and modeling the activities of engineers to reduce the number of errors that occur due to the human factor at the stage of the TTP, as well as for accumulating and utilizing the experience, the use of which prevents errors. The authors have developed the way of working based on using a system of accumulating the experience at the stage of creating the technological process (TP) and the technical statement (TS) for the technological equipment (TE). The presented study also describes an example of the developing the TS for the design of the TE and an example of the formation of the TS for the development of numerical control programs with the use of the toolkit WIQA.

Pseudocode Programmable Graphics Tools in Automated Systems Designing 39_11.pdf

The article presents the tools for the pseudocode programmable graphics designed for support of automated system engineering at a conceptual stage. The particularity of the approach offered is defined by mapping «block and line» diagrams into a semantic memory of question-answer type. The structure of memory cells and capability of control of cell attributes and values ascribe the semantics, with which programmable actions are liable to occur, to elements of diagrams. The specific diagram image can be converted to a pseudocode program description that can be modified the same way as a source programme code. In addition, the pseudocode diagram presentation can be used for its visualization in the special graphics editor field. Furthermore, mapping the diagram onto its pseudocode presentation offers the opportunity for useful conversions of diagrams that contributes to add model control mechanisms to the design process. The decisions offered have been implemented and tested in the tool-and-modeling environment WIQA (Working In Questions and Answers).

Structural Design of Configured Patterns of Avionics Parts 38_13.pdf

The paper presents a set of means for structural designing the configured patterns of avionics parts. The specificity of the offered approach to designing this kind of an equipment is defined with the use of means of conceptual experimenting. Such type of experimenting suggests a reflection of the life cycle of any pattern to a semantic memory of the question-answer type. The structure and attributes of the semantic memory cells are focused on coding of models of questions and answers from the viewpoint of their use in solving the creative tasks. In such modeling, any conceptual experiment is conducted as automated mental experiment the structure and content of which are operatively used in designing of patterns.Configured patterns as a specialized equipment for manufacturing and checking of avionics parts have a set of features the main of which are the following: complicated geometrical forms, small rigidity, greater scales, strict requirements to accuracy of manufacturing. Moreover, in the creation of each pattern, it should repeat not only the geometrical forms of the corresponding detail, but needed utility forms should be included to the pattern also. Such additional components of the patterns are oriented on conditions of their use, for example, in assembly operations with other parts. Necessity to take into account the diverse points of view on a pattern leads to creative tasks, which had better to solve preliminary (before making a pattern) on models, by experimenting with their decisions. The decisions that are offered in the paper are realized and checked up in the toolkit WIQA (Working In Questions and Answers) the environment of which supports conceptual modeling and conceptual programming. For designing the configured patterns, cartographical modeling of the structure and specifications of patterns, and also pseudo-code programming of their laser processing are included in WIQA functions. Inclusion in the life cycle of designing the patterns the opportunities of experimenting with their conceptual models leads to increasing the automation degree of designing and quality of its results, reducing the technological time of pattern production. The use of experimenting also promotes the prevention of mistakes and detection of mistakes, and it facilitates the porting of numerical control programs to other CNC laser cutting machine tools.

Question-answer Modeling of the Operational Spacein Designing the Family of Automated Systems 36_13.pdf

For last 20 years, the successfulness of developing the software intensive systems (SIS) has been associated with a very low degree of a success (approximately 35% in accordance with universally recognized statistics of Standish Croup company), and it is an important reason for searching of new approaches to occupational activity in this subject area which enough fully reflects problems of occupational activity in human-computer environments. Negative influences of human factors (misunderstanding, ambiguity of reasoning and the others) are being recognized as basic reasons of unsuccessfulness in creating and using of SISs and automated systems (AS) as a subclass of SIS, and it inevitable concerns relations of the human with the software. A very important direction of an implementation and improvement of the human-computer activity is bound with discovering, representing and evolving an occupational experience. The special role of interactions with experience in human-computer environments is confirmed by active evolving of the subject area “empirical software engineering” in the frame of which the special kind of “metrology” is developed. This subject area is also bound with the creation and use of the Experience Bases and Experience Factories and with methods and means of “experimenting” in human-computer environments. Told above includes sufficient arguments to count the creation of innovative methods and means of conceptual experimenting in human-computer environments is topical.Formalization of conceptual experimenting is implemented with using a system of rules of the generated grammar which shall include the sets of rules specifying a reflection of all components of professional work onto a question-answer memory. A program realization of the instrumentally technological environment intended for conceptual experimenting, in the form of a program product which is demanded commercially and adjusted on a definite kind of occupational activity.

Pseudocode Programming of Interface Prototypes in Design of Computer-aided Systems 21_12.pdf

The article offers and describes a system of tools for pseudocode programming of interface prototypes in design of computeraided systems. The specific characters and positives of the system determines the following: representation of typical interface solutions as precedents whose base is open for access from any workstation per sample of expert systems; possibility of generation of operational assemblies from standard interface solutions thanks to pseudo-programming bindings and conversion into a source code in C# language for subsequent dynamic compilation and checks of created interface prototypes in order to detect their compliance to conceptions and norms. The system of tools can be accessed from any workstation of corporate network as a special-purpose subsystem embedded into the tool WIQA.Net. The last one contributes to collaborative conceptual design of computer-aided systems.

Multi -agent Modeling and Visua Ization of Environment for Seagoing Craft 20_1.pdf

The article presents and describes an integrated system for acquisition, processing and presentation of primary identification and measurement data on seagoing-craft environment. The offered multi-agent solution of integration task ensures event-driven management for information processes both at level of dynamic (sea and air) objects within control area and at level of information objects structuring input flows of data on events in vessel environment. The developed software system (C#, .Net 3.5, .Net Remouting) uses four layers of software agents A1, A2, A3 and A4, integrated into the comprehensive whole by feasibility-problem system of agents where the data-transportation system operates. A task of identification of data incoming from multiple radars and a task of sea and air dynamic-object grouping are introduced into the set of data-processing tasks and solved. The multi-agent and multi-task features the development is based on, enable a range of approved opportunities of its development including from the point of view of the systems use for vessel control. The developed system has a training mode as a potential. This fact is an important advantage of the developed system. Actually, the developed system has passed tests and confirmed its reliability for the training purposes which are different from those of the complete set in the operating (main) mode using sources of raw data flows.

Instrumental and Technological Environment for Generation and Use of Design Organization Experience 16_2.pdf

In design organizations there are a lot of reasons when problems of modeling of organization experience and its operational use are put in the forefront. The experience of developers in professional subject is handed over through completed projects to developers of other projects and so on, forming what is logically called 'design organization experience'. The fact 'how the experience is presented' and 'how it is accessed', influences substantially value of design organization experience base. In order to present (model) design organization experience and use it efficiently (in current state), the authors propose question-answer tool environments to be applied in collaborative activity within corporate networks. The development of such environments within the working group 'Question-Answer Processes, Technologies and Systems' resulted in creation of a range of tool systems. It was decided to create a complex 'Experience Base of Design Organization' on basis of them. The authors took an active part in creation of a range of versions of the efficient tool and technological environment WIQA (Working in Questions and Answers). Due to this environment, a range of applications ensuring conceptual design of computer-aided systems, documentation, decision-making and training, was developed. The tool system WIQA is oriented at use of experience phenomenon and its models. During the process of QA-system creation a substantial potential of assets was accumulated (components for building, regulating documents and other units of reuse). The last version of the integrated tool environment on basis of WIQA.Net processor is programmed using Microsoft.Net 2.0 and facilities of Web-programming ASP.NET which extend corporate network due to client workstations in Internet.
