Method for Conceptual Indexing of Project Diagrams in Electronic Archives 54_6.pdf

The objective of the research is the development of a method for conceptual indexing of semistructured project diagrams. The proposed method of conceptual indexing is based on the use of the special type of ontologies - the ontology of project diagrams. This ontology includes semantic description of project diagram notations and design patterns used in the software system development. Intelligent design systems that allow to perform more efficiently tasks of structuring the large electronic archives including project diagrams of software and hardware systems have been developed.

The Complex of Ontological Support for Processes of Solving New Design Tasks in Development of Systems With Software 000_11.pdf

The article presents a method of ontological support increasing efficiency of project thinking, when in the development of a software intensive system, the designer discovers the need to solve a new design task. Support is provided in the conditions of application of the version of the project thinking, in the processes of which the means of question-answer and case-oriented approaches are included, which ensure the constructive formation of the project task tree. The components of the tree register not only the texts of task statements but also the question-answer reasoning of the processes of solving each task. The proposed method of ontological support is aimed at the search for design errors, their correction and prevention, as well as on the extraction of useful questions and support of understanding processes in the design process in real time. In addition, it allows you to identify in the texts the cause-effect relationship and the «part-whole» relationship. The basis of the proposed method is the use of question-answer and precedent-oriented approaches to work with the project task, the formulation of which is built in the process of its conceptual solution.

The Application of Design Ontologies in Technological Preparation of Aircraft Production 000_7.pdf

Currently, the use of ontologies in the aviation industry has not yet been properly developed but the analysis of domestic and foreign authors’ works shows the positive dynamics of the intelligent support systems implementation in this area. The article is devoted to the creation of tools for ontological support of works at the stage of technological preparation of aircraft production on the basis of the authoritative approach allowing to carry out experiments with semantic models of diversified production tools at the stage of technical specification and to make decisions on the appearance of the support system artifacts constructive on the basis of the obtained results. Due to the fact that the design process is carried out with the use of a vocabulary and controlled semantics, the proposed means will allow to ensure effective interaction dialogue "designer -system" (in this case, the design is carried out using professional natural language) and also to accumulate, process, and store design and construction knowledge in the form of experienced units.

Constructing the Fuzzy Domain-specific Knowledge Base on the Basis of Context Analysis 000_12.pdf

The paper discovers the ontology model of the fuzzy domain-specific knowledge base (KB) that allows describing the domain-specific ontology (DSO) according to variety of the DSO contexts. The DSO context is a state of the KB content, which can be selected from a variety of the ontology states. This state is obtained by versioning or organization of the KB content from different points of views. The using of the ontological approach for integration with heterogeneous corporate information resources is also described in the paper. The Implementation of Web-oriented System of Formation of Navigation Structure of Electronic Archive for Technical Documentation on the Basis of Ontological Models 000_7.pdf

The article considers a description and experimental results of web-oriented system of formation of electronic archive (EA) for technical documentation (TD) on the basis of ontological models. Preliminary indexing of documents is realized for the purpose of receiving ontological views. Subject area ontology of design organization is represented in OWL files. The main functions of the system include receipt and storage TD ontological representations, formation of EA navigation structure with the purpose of searching numerous documents similar to the certain document (of interest to the designer ) in semantics. In order to store the subject area ontology and TD ontological representations, the graph database Neo4j is used. The interaction with OWL format is executed through the use of OWL API library. The system is implemented on the basis of Java Enterprise Edition platform.

Integration of Fuzzy Granular and Ontological Methods for Time Series Analysis 000_8.pdf

The theoretical and methodological foundations of fuzzy granular modeling were developed to solve the problem of fuzzy trend analysis of time series. Their practical implementation as a program complex allows to get the solution of some applied problems. Fuzzy granular presentation of time series includes five levels: from numeric value granulation to the main trend granulation. The authors propose to use fuzzy ontologies of problem area to interpret the results of time series analysis. he problem area fuzzy ontologies were offered to interpret the results of time series analysis. The ontology basis is based on the RDF model that defines classes, instances, ontological relationships, and contingencies. The logical interference of recommendation is realized on the basis of interaction between fuzzy OWL ontology and rule-oriented SWRL rules system. The article deals with the possibilities of integration of several methods of time series forecasting and corresponding aggregates. The integration of techniques for time series analysis and ontological analysis demonstrates the competitiveness of fuzzy trend models based on the mutual reinforcement of ontological and fuzzy granular methods.

A Semantic Metric of the Termhood Based on the Subject Area Ontology 38_10.pdf

The article describes a semantic metric for a retrieval of a list of terms from the texts of a specific knowledge domain, based on the analysis of its ontology. A formal model of the used OWL-ontology, as well as models and algorithms for the degree evaluation of a word termhood or word combinations of text arrays are presented. In addition, the evaluation metrics of the presented semantic algorithms performance are given. The implementation of the formal models of a domain knowledge representation in an ontological form and the algorithms developed in the software system for the terminology extraction from the text is considered. In conclusion, the results of the computational experiments performed for the extraction of terms based on the ontology of the NC turning-milling machine operation from the texts of an appropriate knowledge domain are provided. A conducted research is summarized. The most efficient algorithms for the degree evaluation of a word termhood or word combinations are revealed, and a perspective for further scientific research in this area is examined.

Ontological Retrieval of Technical Documents on the Basis of an Intelligent Agent Model 38_11.pdf

An intelligent agents modeling for the formation of information requests to an electronic archive of technical documents is considered in this paper. The intelligent agent contains an ontological description of the designer profile, which is expressed as a fragment of the domain ontology. In fact, the intelligent agent has information about the preferences of the electronic archive user. This information has a conceptual representation and it dynamically changes depending on the changing needs of the user. The designer profile is periodically updated with the concepts of the subject area from Wikipedia, so the applied ontology is expanding automatically. Basing on the user’s profile the intelligent agent solves the problem of the information retrieval of technical documents more effectively. The information retrieval algorithm is based on an ontological model which considers the user's query and a technical document as a set of concepts. The objectives of the intelligent agent are a replenishment of the information about the user’s needs in the designer profile, a conversion of the user query to a conceptual view and finding of the text documents requested by an electronic archive user. In the research process the subsystems of an ontological searching and an automatic generation of a concept network for the ontology were developed. Computational experiments were performed with these subsystems, which prove the effectiveness of the implemented approaches.

Ontological Time-series Analysis System 36_12.pdf

This article describes a semantic approach to analyzing the time series as an example of local area network (LAN) status parameters using the ontology of problem area. We represent a formal model of the OWL-ontology for the considered subject domain, an ontological view model for a set of production rules. An inference algorithm for LAN architecture modification during its status estimation while artificially increasing traffic is proposed.We solved the aggregation problem of the different approaches to expert knowledge representation through the product knowledge integration into the ontological model using SWRL- rules. In addition, the implementation of this algorithm in the time-series analysis software TSAnalyzer is considered.The results of computational experiments on LAN-status simulation while artificially increasing traffic as an example of the LAN of the Center for Development of Electronic Media Technologies at Ulyanovsk State Technical University are represented. We summarized the research results conducted and evaluated further research findings expectation in this domain.

Navigation Structure-building of an Electronic Archive for Technical Documentation on the Basis of Ontological Models 33_9.pdf

The article contains a description of a formation process of an electronic technical documentation archive navigation structure on the basis of ontological models. A preliminary document indexing is made in order to receive ontological concepts. The domain ontology is represented in the form of RDF-triples "object-subject-predicate". Conceptual Indexing of Design Documentson Basisof Genetic Optimization 27_9.pdf

The article contains a formal description for a process of finding of a dominant concept in a text fragment of a design document. It also presents an adaptation for standard genetic algorithm in order to solve the task of optimum segmentation of design document into text fragments, ontology concepts dominated, and considers implementations of crossingover and mutation statements.

Models of Structuring and Formalization for Ontology of Application Domain At Stages of Computer-aided System Designm 20_11.pdf

The article discusses an issue of error decrease during ontology creation at early stages of computeraided system design including definition of classes and class hierarchy. Hierarchy depends on possible ways to define a level of detail which is necessary for application, on personal preferences of analysts and sometimes on requirements for compatibility with other models (verbal description of application domain, infological models, frames, semantic networks). It also deals with multiple guidelines to be taken into account during development and optimization of ontology. The following features of structuring and formalization of application-domain ontology at stages of design of computer-aided systems, are stressed: design of ontology is a constructive process which is to combine with object-oriented methods, ways and approaches of structuring and formalization of application domain.
